Like the mandrivia live cd with zoneminder that it is found in zoneminder.com

If you do as I say, you will have a working system like the mandrivia live cd. I don't see anyone putting a lot of effort into fixing something this easy, but I may be wrong.

As to Ubuntu, I am having good luck with Feisty, however, I am not exporting mpegs. I have also noted an odd database issue that may or may not be Ubuntu related.
