I run 13 ip cameras, all but one are Axis.
Those axis cameras are all setup on one machine with the same configuration - twice. One set for modect, the same cams entered again to record 24/7.
Ongoing tweaking and changes mean that I want to change those settings to balance the load on the server. This currently means having to enter the settings for each camera every time, which for 24 entries is slow and error prone.
What I'd *like*, although I'm unclear as to the best way of doing it, is something along the lines of this:
A template system where I can enter most of the details of a camera - including path, xsize, ysize, fps, alarmfps, timestamp, buffers, etc etc. (Obviously IP, port and name would need to be unique
)That way, to change a whole range of cameras I only need to edit that template and all the cams that read from that template are automatically updated. Would also help with adding new cams, ensuring they're equal to the others in the interests of consistency and load balancing.
Is this too obscure a request to be considered?
