how to configure zm4ms??

i have a station with zm and i want to connect to that station ip, but if i put only the ip in zm4ms dont work, that i dont know how to put the ip configuration in zm4ms

Sorry to inform you James but MMI has a point
the setup for ZM4MS is not a easy setup for Newbies.
i myself have still not got ZM4MS working and i have tried for the past 4 month to get it to work.which is a pity as it looks a good front end.

and i have read the setup info and the posts made on threads relating to ZM4MS.

the app works fine just never connects to the ZM/Mysql on the cctv box
yet all the user/passwords i have set can connect local to my ZM box,
But i think its a Mysql ZM live problem because i cant connect via Mysql Admin or Toad for MySql from windows.

so ZM4MS is on the backburner at the moment till i get more time to find out why i cant connect via Windows(should point out remote MySql seems to be the only service i cant connect to).

i do have some screen dumps of the errors and a few debug files if anyone wants to see if anything pops up in them

re the mysql access you need to make mysql listen on it default port on ip, if not then my app cant connect.

The app does work and is pretty easy to setup if the guidelines from the post are followed, the problems occur when different distros that i dont use are used or configs different to default. Most issues with playback are path related or most of time user name related

Most of the things can be sorted by using url mode to test but really all this is in the the zm4ms thread, which i accept is not as small as it was

You should definitely get this up on sourceforge and have people contribute to it. I haven't tried your program yet, but I'm planning on it in the next few days.

i have succeed to connect but only without ZM_OPT_USE_AUTH check
knows somebody how can i connect if i have user and password on zm server?

You must setup the login names to be the same on bith systems, ie if you use

user:password on your zm box, you must add that as a user to zm4ms

Then its just put the ip of the zm box in, if your using the live cd then the path is right, and add your monitor numbers.

I did contribute this and said i wouldnt write any docs for it. I have written basic setup instructions in the thread. I hoped as only 1 person out of the thousands of downloads has donated to it that someone would write something on the wiki. Any of you are free to do so.

But i really dont think its hard to setup, if you dont read anything and just install it, then yes i can see it would be.
