ZM4MS - need a "stable" release

If you've made a patch to quick fix a bug or to add a new feature not yet in the main tree then post it here so others can try it out.

ZM4MS - need a "stable" release

Post by eracc »

The continuing saga of corporate IT versus ZoneMinder ...

The corporate IT folks at our newest ZM client site are refusing to allow ZM4MS to be installed because the filename has the word "beta" in it. Could a "stable" release be made so we can get around this problem? I know, you know, we all know that "beta" and "stable" are simply relative terms but corporate IT folks get all itchy and squirmy if things don't appear a certain way. So, for appearances sake please make a "stable" release if you can. TIA

I can release the current version as a stable but i feel that it should be called a beta as the only testing is done my the community (apart from basic testing by me)
If we want a stable one then ill change the names

As I said, this is for appearances only. As long as folks using the current beta think it works "ok" then just make a "stable snapshot" with today's date or something so I can please these corporate IT types.

Gentle prod ... is there a "stable" release now? If so, I missed the post where you mention it. :)

Just another little nudge. I still don't see your post about a stable release yet. (It is always possible I missed it) :)

new version uploaded, minor chnage in playback but nothing else

now called zm4ms 2.89b

but the zip for download is still called zm4msbeta for ease of download purposes. I will rename this to beta1 when the next update becomes a beta again
