Stops detecting motion

Post by DiscusZ »

I have been running this for a short time (few weeks) everything has beeng working great.

I have 1 Camera, on a cheap 4 port DVR card (only using 1 cam) I have it set for MODECT and all hs been well recently, it stops detection motion. I have stopped and stated ZM, n change.. I rebooted and it worked fine. this morning again I notice it did not detect me leaving the house.

nothing has changed on the box, and this is currently the only thing running

Any ideas as to what I should look for?

That could be it. still trying to learn the ins and outs of the setup of ZM. I tweaked the buffer it was working fo a b it and now it is,t I am also gettinc extremely high duration values something like 15354973.21

I am getting this in the messages log

Aug 16 12:38:44 videosrv zmwatch[971]: INF [Restarting capture daemon for OutsideGarage, time since last capture 1 seconds (1187289524-1187289523)]
Aug 16 12:38:48 videosrv zmdc[924]: INF ['zmc -d /dev/video' stopping at 07/08/1 6 12:38:48]
Aug 16 12:38:48 videosrv zmc_dvideo[19657]: INF [Got signal (Terminated), exitin g]
Aug 16 12:38:48 videosrv zmdc[924]: INF ['zmc -d /dev/video' exited normally]
Aug 16 12:38:48 videosrv zmwatch[971]: INF ['zmc -d /dev/video' stopping at 07/0 8/16 12:38:48]
Aug 16 12:38:48 videosrv zmwatch[971]: INF [Restarting capture daemon for Garage , shared memory not valid]

I did tweak Buffers a bit (right now) image buffer size is 30 the rest left the same and frame alarm set to 2 (just increased it to 3)

Sometimes I see zma -m 12' crashed, signal 8 as well

I think I have solved this. I completely reinstalled the mysqlDB and since doing so I have not had recording problems. Not sure what would be different, there are no errors i did check the db for errors and all clean..

even with the old DB and deleting the current monitor and adding a new one did not work correctly.

will see what happens over the next few days
