Suggestions on dome cameras

Post by TJ_IN_AK »

Hi,

Looking to put several dome cameras in a high class restraunt. Owner wants them fixed dome and descreet (sp??).

Any suggestions out there? I tried to bid the Axis POE cams but the bid was to high, looking for other alternatives, perfer POE cams.

Thank you,

All of the hidden cams I know of are analog. You could pipe one or more into an Axis IP cam server, however.

You can convert almost any IP camera to PoE by using a PoE splitter to remove the power before the camera which is then taken out to feed the cam and the cat5 continued as data-only to the cam.

I've used this product for years to feed non-PoE Axis cams, will work for any ~5 or ~12vdc camera.
