YOU FORGOT PHILIP.

Post by victor_diago »

philip, i have downloaded and installed zm 1.19.3, and i have seen that you forgot to put the portuguese translation.

can you do that ?

ohh. another thing, i saw that if you put little numbers in buffers (in the plugin for windows, to see mpeg streams) like 2 or 1, the images are showed, but then, after little time, they get frozen.

LIKE in MOZILLA... so , could it be a zms bug ?

i have send some messages to mozillazine and they say mozilla´s code is ok...

Hi Victor,

You're right about the translation, sorry about that. If you redownload it it should be in there now.

In your other question, you mention setting buffers to 1 or 2, which buffers do you mean and where do you set it?

hi, thanks about the translation issue...

i have mentioned the problem about mp (media player) plugin...
setting it to 1 or 2 cause stream to be viewed for a while, but after this it freezes, exactly like mozilla native streaming, but in mozilla, after freezing it shows a corrupted icon, like there is no image , and then, only restarting it to work again. in IE with the mpeg streaming enabled, after freezing, i can just close that windows and open it again, after, it plays again for a while, and then, freezes again. i really think that this is caused by any problem on the streaming server. it seems that its not sending images on the same time, it seems to be unstable, because im capturing at 0.8 fps, but i see in the report window that it is capturing at 1.25 fps, maybe this is causing that, i dont know.

another thing i've seen, and are already reported here, is that using this new version of the software cause some problems streaming over the internet.

in other words, i cant see anything (even using cambozola streaming) on the remote node. locally all works great..

sure that this could be something related to firewall, but i have disabled it to test, and nothing seems to helps... im checking everything again, but seems to be good, since i have already did this in other machine, the only difference is that it was an old version of zm (1.17.2)

i will check the second issue again today

thanks for your reply

my programmer's hand is by your side phil ;)

Hi Victor,

I'm still not sure which buffers you mean, can you tell me what settings you are referring to?

hi, sorry.

i mean the media player config, where you can set how much seconds wil be buffered by the software. ( clicking with right button, then options in the mpeg streaming window under Internet Explorer )

NOT ZONEMINDER buffers.

thanks for all
