I know that many companies offer an IP Cam with 640x480. But the image is upscaled from 320x240.

Axis cams are true 640x480. You can see demo cams on their site.

I have found a camera. It is Arecont Vision. I have bought a camera AV3100.
But I can't get any pictures from the camera to ZM.
Is there anyway to make it work?
Thanks.

Don't know, never heard of that cam before. Can it stream MJPEG? If so maybe.

Okay so I did some of your homework with the link you gave and it says that it supports mjpeg. So it is possible that it might work if the cam is configured correctly but still no guaranties. The only way I would know for sure is I need access to one of these cams. I doubt that I would be able to afford one of these though.

The path of /img.jpg works fine. Although I have no idea how to gain an mjpeg pushed image from this camera. I'll have to go through the manual when I have some more time.

I just found this thread from a search for "Arecont". I also would like to know if the Arecont Vision 3100 will work with ZM. Anybody had any luck?

I'm in charge of security at my condominium building. We already have one Axis 207w monitoring our building lobby, and wish to add more cameras viewing the parking lot. A local company recommneded the Arecont Vision 3100 because of its high resolution (wow, 1,920 x 1,080). These would be mounted on the roof of the building and would cover a large area of the parking lot, so high resolution is necessary for facial and license plate recognition (we have been plagued with some car break-ins). Here are the specs about the camera, it DOES support MJPEG:
http://www.arecontvision.com/products_3100.html

The vendor recommended Exacq Technologies video monitoring software for Windows. But, of course, I would much prefer to use our existing ZM setup if it'll work.

Any ideas will be appreciated. I'll probably have my hands on two of these cameras in a couple weeks.
