I don't have a specific retail or wholesale price ... but we're paying about $4,600 for two Arecont Vision 3100 models, including weatherproof housings for both, plus professional installation and about 3 hours of wiring work. That puts them in the ballpark of about $1,500 to $2,000 each.

This is from a local security equipment service provider in Atlanta, GA. If anyone would like the vendor's contact info, please PM me.

So far they've done a great job at our condo building. The rep is very skeptical of an open source software package working ... but I'm determined to prove him wrong. I will post updates of my trials with the Arecont Vision and ZM as soon as I get my hands on them.

Ouch!

Please do keep us updated, they sound like very good cameras and possibly the "next stage" of ipcam development.

I have a customer interested in a single high res low capture rate camera, so I am in the market. Of couse during "business hours" I am with customers, so I research off hours. After 15 minutes of research, the post in this thread is the closest I have come to for a price. That doesn't make me to likely to buy one. When will people realize that there are ready buyers like me that will never "call for price" if there is another product that dose the job with a web price?
