MPEG streaming event longer than 10 seconds error

hi philip, im looking at the code but didnt found anything.

also, i think this could be related due to the order that the files when passed to ffmpeg.

any idea phil ?

for those who dont know about what im talking :

ZM 1.19.x has a bug when using mpeg streaming.
if you play events with more than 10 frames or seconds ( like 25, 28 frames) the images (stream) are not viewed, just a black screen appears.

playing events with less than 10 frames is ok.
OBS: if you click GENERATE VIDEO, the video is generated OK. no problems. if you clic images, you could see all images. just the stream dont work.

Philip, if you want to take a look at my zm installation (its online) just say and i will create a user for you to see that.

I found that the proccess to view events is in part the issue. Hang on I have to elaborate.
If I select a camera and then chose one of the events to watch yes over 10 seconds appears to not work the way we would prefer.
But if I don't open a camera window, click of the event total (any one) for the console window and watch the same event it works fine.

Hi Victor,

I'll be happy to take a look. Whatever problem there is seems to be happening on your system only at the moment as I can happily watch event that are 15 minutes or more in mpeg mode.

Do you know what version of ffmpeg you have? And what version of Windows Media Player?

i dont know if this helps, but im capturing at 0.7 fps.

you said you could watch events of 115 minutes right ?
at what rate are you capturing ?


my version of ffmpeg is the 0.4.8 and my media player is the default one of windows 98 SE (6.x or 7.x) which works right to see live stream.

It's possible that a frame rate that low is causing a problem. Have you tried replaying an event at a different rate and seeing if that makes any difference?

Scratch my responce,
Sorry Phil.
I found that mine works fine either way.
I'm using ffmpeg-0.4.8 and a frame rate of 5 fps each w/ 2 cams at 640x480 and XP pro w/ WMP 9

i have found. the problem is, when the time elapsed from the begining of the event to the end is grater than the number of images, ffmpeg goes crazy and dont show that.

so i CANT capture at 0.7 FPS. put into 1 fps and worked right.
