Hello, I am testing an IP cam Gadspot GS4000 with zoneminder on a SuSE 10.0 Pro. The default zoneminder settings for Gadspot cam does not seem to work.
I tried to point the gadspot zoneminder links using a webbrowser (firefox) but the cam responds with an error page.
Have you ever tried this IP cam using zoneminder?
Thanks in advance

Gadspot GS4000
Hi,
is there any linux program that can read the mpeg stream of that cam?
I tried VLC, but it does not work.
The camera works in Internet Explorer with an activex....
My idea is to use a linux program that reads the mpeg4 stream of the ipcam and then that saves jpeg pictures for zoneminder ... this is the idea, but first of all I have to find a linux program that reads the ipcam video mpeg.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance for your help

User Manual claims Linux OK, but it still does not work...
The "System Requirements" section of the User Manual for GS4000G says that "A Mac or Linux based machine is also compatible", but I still can not get it to work. I have discovered that the ActiveX control seems to be going for http://camera_hostname/video.v and that there is also http://camera_hostname/test.cmp Both seem to be MPEG streams of some sort, but neither appears to be playable by any of programs I tried (mplayer, ffplay, vlc)...

I came across couple of discussions on demuxing the vdata.v and text.cmp - see http://www.networkcamerareviews.com/for ... t1159.html and http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=34299
