Just picked up an Avermedia LX5004 card. Its a 4 port card with 4 chips (unknown if they are 878's - they are covered with heatsinks) and comes with a proprietary Linux security program embedded in a custom older Redhat distro.
The card does *not* work under ZM. The livecd install locks up tight when loading the driver.

An easy way to tell what chips it's using is to type lspci as root. Just dont have the driver automatically loading. On the live CD, maybe starting with run level 2 is enough. You type knoppix 2 at the first boot prompt. It may still lock up, I haven't looked at the live CD yet and it may be set up to load the drivers at boot time.
