config for PV149

Alright, does the computer have a GUI? like Gnome, or KDE?

If so then try running xawtv. or even VLC and pointing vlc to /dev/video0 channel 0. See if that works.

The problem is that either 1: the device isn't configured properly for you. or 2: the device has been configured properly, but isn't being 'accessed' properly.

Either way xawtv should help.
