It's not on our supported list and I don't see many posts on those here:

I try ...but I don't know how to configure with zoneminder
The webcam is the same of AXIS 213 PTZ but with canon firmware.

I try to connect via ftp and I see a lot of link to axis cgi page in /usr/html

I find this :
Canon Network Video Solutions Software Developers Kit
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/contr ... 47&id=4041

On service manual

http://www.usa.canon.com/app/pdf/nvideo ... online.pdf

they talk about java applet for custum application with a sample ( from page 174):

sample.htm
<html>
<head>
<title>SampleSite LiveApplet</title>
</head>
<frameset rows="70,*">
<frame src="header.htm">
<frame src="lvappl.htm">
</frameset>
</html>
2 header.htm
<html>
<head>
<title>LiveApplet comment</title>
</head>
<body>
<center><h1>LiveApplet</h1></center>
</body>
</html>
3 lvappl.htm
<html>
<head>
<title>LiveApplet</title>
</head>
<body>
<applet codebase="http://<_W_E_B_S_E_R_V_E_R_>/-wvdoc-01-/LiveApplet/"
code="LiveApplet.class" archive="LiveApplet.zip"
width=450 height=380>
<param name=cabbase value="LiveApplet.cab">
<param name=url value="http://<_W_E_B_S_E_R_V_E_R_>/">
</applet>
</body>
</html>

Thanks[/url]

Just because the hardware is the the same does not make it compatable. It's really the firmware that decides what the camera does, how it functions, Syntax needed to talk to it, etc etc.
So the fact is, it don't matter who makes the camera as much as it matters who makes the firmware?

Yes, I know....
But it's a good idea to update zoneminder with new hardware.
Another thing is to flash this webcam with axis firmware but I don't know if it's possible and how....

Did you ever happen to post the howto, I'd like to get this working with my VB-C50ir.

Thanks.
