Local PTZ with Remote camera

Hi,
I have successfully upgraded to 1.23.1 & Mandriva 2008, works great

I am using a mix of Remote cameras, local cameras and an IP9100 remote server.

I configure the IP9100 as a remote and it works fine. Unfortunatly the PTZ control is local ie: ttyS0

I can not figure out a way to have local control on a remote camera.

Any thoughts woulsd be appreciated.

BTW, I am a newbie with no Linux experience

This is a bit of a tricky issue. I will need to look at the source to see if you can 'hack' it to work.

I found a workaround, sort of.................

When I create the remote monitor, I leave the PTZ protocol blank, it will default to PelcoD, this happens to be the protocol that I use.

The protocol box stays empty and it works.
