Bandwidth setting dependent ZM_JPEG_IMAGE_QUALITY

Post by progzmaster »

Hi all!

I think that it will be a good idea to have ZM_JPEG_IMAGE_QUALITY setting in each bandwidth, so lower can be set for low bandwidth setting, which allows near real-time viewing trough slow internet connection with the compromise of bad quality, while viewing through LAN is still high-quality.

I searched for similar question but I was not found. I can't believe that I am the first who ask for this :) so sorry if it is already requested...

Agree. However, the jpegs are created right after capture, and saved like that to the disk. Re-saving them to a lower quality file would take extra cpu time.

The streamed jpegs are generally converted separately from the files so this would be possible. I have made a note of it and if there is a little more interest then I will look at seeing if it can go in.
