Configure IP Cameras as Monitor

Post by Andreas Hobein »

Hello,

can someone help me to configure the Network cameras

Panasonic BB-HCM580 Network camera pan-tilt-zoom

Mobotix M22

Bosch NWC 0700

Especially the "Source/Remote Host Path" Setting is interesting because I didn't find any Information about that.

All the cameras can be watched via browser with "http://[Cam-IP] directly, no path required.

When the Cam has 16Bit color, can I still use "24Bit-Color " as "Remote Image Colors" ?

ZM Version is 1.23.1.

Thanks,
Andreas

Later Remark: The Camera Config is still interesting, but meanwhile I added a Monitor with a local jpeg file as source. Still I get a black screen for this monitor as well. ZM writes
"Restarting capture deamon for JPEGMON, shared memory not valid"
"zmc -m 3 starting at (Date) pid=xxxx"
So the camera config might not be the problem.
Regards,

Andreas

Correction:

After having read about the shared memory issue in

http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... gs_mean.3F

I tried a local jpg with 320x240 and it works. So Zoneminder works well, and I still have to find the Remote path for the above cams, either for mjpeg or jpg. 1 Frame in 3 secs would be o.k.

Additional Info:
System is Novell Linux Enterprise Server 10, I installed the Zoneminder with Yum from the repository liquid-co.de.
Regards,

Andreas
