Help getting Axis Video Server 241S working with ZM 1.23.1

Post by andrewS »

I have been trawling through many forum threads to get this working but so far i have not had any success. I was wondering if anyone has been able to get an Axis Video Server (particularly a 241S) working with a recent version of Zoneminder? If you could help me i would be very grateful.

The setup is as follows:
- Zoneminder server installed on 192.168.100.185
- Axis Video Server is on IP 192.168.100.175

I have updated the firmware to version 4.40 (came with version 4.30 I believe). I have an Analog camera (Swann Outdoor Cam) connected via BNC cable to the Axis, and when accessing the Axis i can see the video so know the inputs are working. I can change resolution and this displays appropriately in the browser.

The problem is getting this to display through the Zoneminder Monitor view. I have included some screenshots to show my configuration and resulting displays, and hope that this will help identify what i'm doing wrong...

Thanks in advance to anyone able to assist. Regards, AndrewS

Your ZoneMinder is Stopped, according to the screenshot. Plus, try to change Record mode to Monitor mode for the camera, to adjust things first.

also make sure that size of the image in you path string is the same size you have in your monitor setting and that it is a supported size by the video server.
