Start & Stop surveillance via external keypad (PIN)

hi,

what about support for external keypads connected on serial/parport/gameport?

it would be great if i could start and stop the surveillance mode with a special PIN.

This isn't really a zoneminder thing, as I wouldn't want my system to be off, just incase something happened and I forgot to turn it on!

For this to work even if it was built into zoneminder, it would need a input somehow to know when the correct code has been entered.

Rather than building it into zonemind, why don't you just have a script on box that turns the service off and on via a script.

Maybe you want to try this out:

It's an interface with the serial port. It can list to all that comes into it. You can plug anything on the serial port and then take your actions based on what comes.
