Help needed setting up Vloopback

hi all, i wanted to expand my current ZM with some ip cams. the ones i can get are MPEG4 however, so i know they won't work right off with zoneminder. i've searched the forums and found some workarounds for this. i have installed openRTSP and vpipe, what i cannot get to work is vloopback.
i have downloaded and built it. installed it and tryed to load it trough insmod and modprobe, both ways works ok, however, ZM gives me

zmwatch[4570]: INF [Restarting capture daemon for New, shared memory not valid]

and keeps restarting that camera. what is strange is that, using the included resize tool (as i readed here, size can be a problem) it's giving me some error about "Failed to open video device/dev/video3" it is very odd since everything went almost flawlesly up until that point.

any help at all is highly tranked
