Hi,
Does someone knows a box with 2 physical drives inside that work in RAID1 and can be connected in IDE/SATA or SCSI to a pc. The 2 drives however have to be able to be hot pluggable ,so that the drives can be removed as a means of system backup.
One box I already found is here :

Kind regards,

External IDE/SATA/SCSI Raid box ?
Medea - I've been using one of these in a video production environment. It was a SCSI construction.

I read in another thread in this forum that the biggest problem on performance is disk IO.
This turns me to a RAID 0+1 solution (spanning ,which is mirrored).
But I still wanted this to have in an internal or external box ,which is managed by it's internal firmware. (so no drivers needed).
So on top of the box that Robi found for me : http://www.avid.com/medea.asp (which uses scsi disks) - apx. 3300$ .
, I found this box : http://www.sansdigital.com/mobileraid/mr5s1.html 1400$ ,which uses SATA disks ,but the box connects itself in u320 scsi .
Hope this helps for anyone planning to build an fast, affordable and reliable zoneminder server.
Once could go to professional server solutions ,but you'll pay hard money for this (and quality nor service isn't better because of it).
