interpolation

Post by jameswilson »

WOuld it be possible on view of stills only to resize an image with interpolation. ie take a 320x240 andinterpolate upto 640x480. I have had a theft on the first zm i have fitted and customer comments are the image is really small. Obviously straight digi zoom looks awfull but interpolation looks great.

Interpolation doesn't add any new information though so even though it might look better than just doubling up pixels it still contains the same amount of info. I'm not really sure I see the benefit of it, as you can just do it in Photoshop if you only want to do it for a few sample images.

Am I missing something?

i know id doesnt show any additional info but when viewing a 320x240 on a 1280x1024 monitor the recrded image is small. Now when mr end user plays back an incident he wants it full screen like his old vcr did but to get full screen the digital zoom makes a zm image look awful. i know it doesnt capture any additional Detail, but end users would love it. i know gimp or photoshop etc can do it but i would love it on the web ui.

zoom

Thought I would bring up this apparently dead feature request. :)

It would still be really nice to have this. If not for an entire picture, but to at least be able to "zoom" somewhat on a face or numbered plate from the stills. I realize that an analog CTTV camera might not give much additional info, but a digital shot with jpeg at 100% resolution would likely give a better picture zoomed. I think many users/customers would find this of great value.
