I read about one somewhere, it was called Zone something. Zoneminder, perhaps. :)

NO more like a Brinks system. Keypad, alarm, monitoring service. stuff like that.

I figured that was what you were implying, Unfortunately no, and ZoneMinder certainly can't take the place of those very easily, at least not without supplementing it with PIRs and door switches and more coding to help prevent false positives.

I dont want zoneminder to do this. I was looking for info on a open source Home Security System software. If there was any out there.

If you want a standalone intrusion detection system, you're gonna need some hardware.. Grab a kit from HERE or from
http://www.youralarmstore.com/. Then you can do all the opensource installing you want. With the DSC Power 832 systems, you can either program it via the keypad (which is a PITA) or get a serial cable from one of the above links and d/l the programming software from DSC. It may even come with the kits these days. I have installed these systems, and they are very nice and easy.

I was looking all over your site, and never found a software download. You wouldn't be hiding it in violation of the GPL would you?
