Hi virio,
I'm not sure from your posts what the present state of your system is. The livecd does in fact install a complete linux system with ZoneMinder installed and ready to add cameras. It can not be used to install Zoneminder into an existing linux installation. To do that you would need to download the source tarball and follow the directions in the readme. It is a fairly complex job for an inexperienced linux user. This is the reason for the livecd.
Your first post seems to indicate that you got as far as partitioning, but I'm not sure what happened from there. If your partitions are good to go, just boot from the CD, click the installer icon, read the messages carefully, enter an "i" and you wil be up and running shortly. Hopefully!
If you run into more problems, try to explain clearly what is happening, and we will help you through it.
Best regards,
Ross

I took a few photos of the same screen as they weren't coming out very well. Hopefully this will help. Please ask any questions needed.
