New PV-149 Card New ZM Install

Post by Viper_iii »

Currently running the 1.22 version but will be installing 1.23... might run the live then install from that....

Can also do a fresh install from something if that is recommend.

Problem is getting the 149 card to work. what exactly do I need to do to get that installed and working in Zoneminder?

Also looking around to see if there is a way to support small rtsp streams separated by port for cameras to phones.

Was testing a Linksys wireless G Camera /w audio (which works fairly well with ZM) and noticed its rtsp feature was really pretty nice. Just cuts the capture size down to a PDA / Phone screen size and streams it out with a buffer but worked really well.

Anyway if someone could point me in the right direction on the 149 4 port Card install I would really appreciate it... or if it is auto detected then where the source of the card is located and its settings.

Thanx!

The PV-149 can be accessed at:

/dev/video0
/dev/video1
/dev/video2
/dev/video3

Channel 0 for each

The card should be auto detected by the kernel. I think support where the card is auto detected started some where around kernel version 2.6.12.
If you search this topic for that card, you should find plenty of information.

Okay I'm just Stupid...

Card has two DB15 input outputs...

Naturally I chose what I thought was DB1 but I actually can't seem to ready and chose DB2.

Ran through all kinds of BS because I can't read...

Plugged into DB1 the primary port and whammo... I have video

Sorry for my lack of brain cells on this... Had almost given up on this damn thing on my stupidity!

Any way new issue... flashing video on the zm interface... the video multimedia tests are clean just not the zm... framerate issue?
