ZM_UPDATE_CHECK_PROXY error?

This is v1.22.3 installed from LiveCD. It captures events and they can be viewed as stills, so I assume the camera is installed OK.

But the video window shows the broken image icon. Whenever I open a window that should have a video window an error is generated twice in syslog:

Attempt to fetch integer value for ZM_UPDATE_CHECK_PROXY, actual type is string. Try running ´zmupdate.pl -f´ to reload config.

And I did. Also stopping Zoneminder before doing it.

As I could not find anything else wrong i was hoping this could be easily fixed, but I have not found what's wrong.
