background filters don't work

Hi,
I cannot have background filters work. If I run them manually, they do their job, otherwhise they are not triggered. I have ZM_FILTER_EXECUTE_INTERVAL set to 100s, zmfilter.pl is running, what else shoud I check?

Second question:
Is there a command to purge the the hard drive manually? I read on some posts to delere events/camX/ directories, but is this safe? Should I also delete records in the db?

Hope I'm not stating the obvious, but have you checked the "run filter in background' checkbox on the save screen?

And selected the action you want it to do in your filter of course. I suspect you missed the background filter box.

If not, see if there is anything in your log file I suppose.
