Auto-reply dropdowns

Any way we could add a feature to the bulletin board that allowed at least certain users, when hitting post-reply to choose from a drop-down menu of typical responses. "SHMGET" for example starts a message with "You have a shared memory, check the shared memory part of the faq" with the URL", there's a few things I think Cordel would probably like to type less often.

actually I don't mind, besides it would be a greater risk to the community to customize the forum, as it makes it more difficult to update and not updating leaves you open to all the script kiddies which means down time and likely data loss, both bad.

Good point. I've heard horror stories of keeping things like this forum running, staying ahead of the script kiddies. For my own use, I'll probably just save a page somewhere with a bookmark, so I can copy/paste the simple answers.
