Need advice on server size

Need advice on server size

Hello,
I am planning to deploy a system that has the following:
10 Axis 206 640x480 2fps color
2 Axis 211M 1280x1024 5fps color
The cameras will be recording all the time. I am aiming to retain the recordings for 30 days.

I already have 7 of the lower resolution Axis's running solid for about 2 years now. They are all running at 2fps.
I am planning to gradually add the other 5.

Currently I have a Pentium 4 3GHz with 2GB Ram and 2x640GB Raid0.
I am trying to save money as well as my current hardware, so if I add more memory and storage to my current server, will be sufficient or am I better off building a new system altogether?

If I have to build a new one, this is what I have in mind:
AMD Phenom 9850 2.5GHz Quad Core
4GB Ram
2x1TB Raid0


Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Judging by how much my CPU's increased since I plugged in my first megapixel (Axis 223M, 1600x1200), I'd say you might want to look at a new system, and the one you spec'd sounds good. Try to find something with lots of drive bays and sata connectors.
