Events can be accessed from monitor name and I can get to filter by entering address:
https://<domain>/index.php?
index.php?view=events&page=1&filter

but from filter button - I get following address and blank screen.

https://<domain>/index.php?view=events&page=1&filter=1&trms=1&attr1=DateTime&op1=%3c&val1=now

Have you checked the Apache error log?
