Hi,
I installed ZoneMinder 1.22.3 in a Ubuntu 8 using a Logitech QuickCam.
When I access to the zm console (using the browser) I can see my cam but the /dev/video0 is in red. When I click to go to the watch window it appears but with no image.
I look in the forums and I chech that:
- My /dev/video0 has rwxrwxrwx
- The zmdc.log has two significative lines:
zma -m 1 exited abnormally, exit status 255
zmc -d /dev/video0 exited abnormally, exit status 255
- The zmwatch.log has the INF message:
Restarting capture daemon for XXXXXXX, shared memory not valid
This camera works fine using xwatv
I would apreciate any idea about how to fix this problem
TIA,
blas
No imagen in watch window

yes sorry resolution
Often but doesnt seem to be the case here is you dont have enough shared mem.
Id also advise a more conventional res, 300x300 is a bit strange.
try 320x240 or 160x120 just for testing.
Not all cams can give all resolutions.

Thanks James for your reply.
As you supose, 300x300 is not the resolution but the size of the image. But I don't know how guess this value and how can it be changed.
Supresly, when I reboot the system, the /dev/video0 lost the permissions. But now, I changed it again but the problem contnues.
TIA,
