people/visitors counting in a retail shop

Hi all.

Could you please help me in finding if ZoneMider can be used to count real visitors (+/-, statistics) in a retail shop?

Just to be clear in my question: the system should be able to:
- count at any given moment the number of customers in the shop, by
- increasing the number when someone enters (motion detection with direction sensing)
- decreasing when customer exits
- maybe possibility to correlate more than one video source when shop has multiple doors

I'd guess no, but if someone gets this to work, I'd have lots of fun with it personally. I'll have a version that can do it eventually, but I have roughly a year to work on it, so it's way down the priority list.
