Airlink101 SkyIPCam 500 (WORKS)

Post by water »

I can confirm the camera Airlink101 SkyIPCam 500 works in zoneminder jpeg stills only. The settings are as follows: hostname = <username>:<password>@<ip> path = /cgi/jpg/image.cgi for JPEG stills.

I followed the information on the wiki for the AICN747/AICN747W.

I am running Zoneminder 1.23.3 on ubuntu 8.04.

A big thank you all who contribute to zonminder!

i have aicn500 I wish i could get these cameras to work outside of windows xp. I'll search those models that you recommend however i'm tired of all this research... i'm a new user to ubuntu 8.04 so it's not a walk in the park. i'll hopefully post back with any update.
Moving away from proprietary in favor of Open as open source as I can get all devices to work on, currently working on getting security cameras working w/ zoneminder. no easy task.

If you can get that cam on a public IP, I'll see if I can get it to work with my 8.04 DVD.

These cameras work however it would be better to get them working with zoneminder on ubuntu, i currently am under 8.04 i dont mind downgrading versions either for compatibility. I would prefer using ubuntu over windows xp for our small business, the ipcameras are aicn500 which I am having little luck getting to work in zoneminder: here is the feed from the ip camera to test out.::::: livingroom.homeip.net guest guest

Thanks for any help you can give me, this is my first time asking for help with ubuntu. or zoneminder

I use Linux and have never tried any sort of Windows based CCTV system. I'm not sure if the info you posted is a legit url. I would suggest a pm and not public view of any ip. If you look at http://67.210.200.198/ navigate to the zm section and log in with admin/admin you'll see my hosted VPS demo, don't care if people see that ip.

I tried to find an online demo of the camera last night to see how it would work with Zoneminder, no luck so far.

I have three of these cameras working in ZoneMinder v1.23.3 and am able to view them outside of ZM from my Ubuntu laptop. I believe that you have to have a working java plugin to view them in Ubuntu but I'm not posititive..mine just worked out of the box.

Regarding getting them to work in ZM:

Host Name: username:password@ipaddress
Host Port: 80
Host Path: /cgi/jpg/image.cgi
Remote Image Colors: 24 bit color
Capture Width: 640
Capture Height: 480
Orientation: Normal

Under Options -> Network
ZM_OPT_REMOTE_CAMERAS: Checked
ZM_NETCAM_REGEXPS: Checked
ZM_HTTP_VERSION: 1.1
ZM_HTTP_UA: ZoneMinder
ZM_HTTP_TIMEOUT: 2500

Hope that this helps.

Hello,

Do you have zoneminder setup and running on Ubuntu 8.04?

If you do you should be able to follow the guide in the Wiki for camera setup.

Oh I did change the port numbers on all of my cameras from the default 80

What is your setup like?
