Hi,
I have a Linux server running ZoneMinder, and it is working very well.. However, i have a Windows Server in another room, with 2x usb webcams attached to it.
What is the best free (or low cost) software that i can use to stream these webcams and monitor them from ZoneMinder ?
I have read some discussion regarding using VLC Server to stream the video, but i cannot get it to work
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Stream to ZoneMinder from Windows Server
I need something like this too.
I also had tried VLS Server, but it doesn't works.
Looking for something "nice", i found it:

I don't try it yet.
Maybe it is useful.

Hey,
I've been trying to find some way of streaming from a webcam on a Windows XP laptop to Zoneminder, so I can add a webcam (that I already own) in a different room to the server. I found this discussion whilst Googling, I later found a working solution: webcamXP (http://www.webcamxp.com). I am not affiliated with it in any way. It is free for a version that gives you one watermarked cam stream, fine for my use. I have it working in Zoneminder just like the camera attached to my Fedora box.
All you need to do is run webcamXP, select your USB camera and make sure the built-in webserver is running. Point Zoneminder at the IP address of the machine. The default port is 8080, make sure you open it up in the Windows firewall. The one thing that was a bit tricky was finding the path, it turned out to be /cam1.jpg.
I hope this info is useful to someone!
