ACTi ACM-4000

Anyone know what the path is for this guy? I can view the stream in the little webpage that it comes with but I can't get zoneminder to see it.

I've tried tons of combinations from all the posts I've found but no direct hits for ACM-4000 in my search so it's been all guesswork.

Hopefully your using 1.24.x as there is no support for acti cams in any previous versions. Also 1.24.0 is not really released yet at this time as things like support for the Acti cams and mpeg/rtsp capture in general is still being worked on.

Thanks for the reply.

My ubuntu server is an old version and I see zoneminder is 1.22 there.

I'm installing ubuntu 8.10 on virtualbox to try out the new zoneminder.

1.24.x is not available trough a package yet. It's still in beta and you will have to build every thing from source to use it including ffmpeg to even try with this cam. Also 8.10 at this time has issues of it's own ATM. I would suggest Fedora.

Guess I'll have to wait.

Makes me mad as the place I bought the camera from said it was compatible with zoneminder.
