zmc exited abnormally, exit status 255

Hi,

I installed the zm 1.23.3 in a Ubuntu 8.10 (intrepid ibex) on a Acer Aspire with a CrystalEye web cam. The cam works fine with xawtv but it doesn't with zm (the source appears in red in the zm console).

In the zmdc.log the first error I can get is:

zmc -d /dev/bus/usb/004/004' exited abnormally, exit status 255

First I suposed thats it was because the source config params are wrong and I try to query it using

sudo zmu -q -d /dev/bus/usb/004/004 -v

but I the error: "Error, username and password or auth string must be supplied"

I check that the device has perms and it seems ok.

Any ideas ?
