TRENDnet TV-IP410 Working

It appears most people were having trouble with trying to get MJPEG to work. I was able to get mine to work @13.33fps - 20.00fps using this configuration:

Remote Host Name: admin:admin@192.168.1.103
Remote Host Port: 80
Remote Host Path: /cgi/mjpg/mjpg.cgi
Remote Image Colors: 24 bit color
Capture Width: 640
Capture Height: 480
Preserve Aspect Ratio: checked
Orientation: Normal

The Host Path is correct, there is no letter 'e' in mjpg.cgi. The CGI spec suggests that it should be "http://<servername>/cgi/mjpg/mjpeg.cgi" however, the MIME type is of some proprietary type and doesn't work with ZM.

For the Remote Host Path, you can also try using /cgi/jpg/image.cgi as suggested in another post, however you'll only get between 3.00 to 5.00 fps.

Good to know FitiVision is working on these things. From what I have been able to determine, /cgi/mjpg/mjpg.cgi was added in firmware version 1.0.0 build 39. Airlink 101 has only released up to version 1.0.0 build 17 which doesn't include this enhancement (Arg!).

Can everyone with a 747/747W e-mail Airlink 101 and ask them to release the updated firmware? Working mjpeg would be a huge plus for these cams....

Since the TRENDnet TV-IP410W and Airlink 101 AIC747W are identical hardware (save the LEDs) it might be possible to flash the TRENDnet firmware.

We are buying the Airlink's and asked about the firmware. This is what we received:

This camera is controlled by CGI commands that may not be compatible with
Firefox. That means it is not likely to fix this problem through a firmware
upgrade.

Sounds like a bunch of crap to me...so I'm not expecting a working MJPEG solution any time soon.

You are correct, Youping's answer is not entirely accurate. Some of the UI features on the Airlink are (currently) only compatible with IE: Namely mapped movement audio I/O, and alarm area editing via ActiveX controls. The Java viewer that loads when you hit the camera with Mozilla/Firefox doesn't support these features.

That being said, the MJPEG stream generated by /cgi/mjpg/mjpeg.cgi is not multipart MIME compliant, so any application that expects it to be compliant (Firefox, ZM, etc...) fails. The only reason it works with the Java and ActiveX viewers native to the camera is that these apps are coded to accept the incorrectly encapsulated MIME data!

It might be appropriate to mention to Airlink support that another FitiVision OEM (TRENDnet) has already released version 1.0.0 build 39 which specifically lists the following enhancements, note #2:

Release Notes:
Add:
1. Adds more free DDNS
2. Adds standard server push video stream
3. Change the wireless encryption to invisible
4. Supports FreeBSD FTP server

Let's keep pinging Airlink support, as this problem is clearly on them to resolve...

I sent Airlink an email asking them to include the firmware update.

It would be really nice to get the extra frame rates out of the camera.

I also mentioned I will go to TRENDNet for future low-cost pan/tilt camera purchases if they don't provide the upgrade.

I agree. Their response to us was "I will talk to the vendor for the possibility."

Thanks for the tip. I went to Trendnet's page and added their live Demo feed for this camera into my Zoneminder demo for testing purposes. I can get video out of the alternate path so it's working, just want to see if it works with your primary path you mention. Now I can try out all the camera's without having to track one down for testing.
