configuring ffmpeg

Last night when I installed 1.24, I d/l the lastest version of ffmpeg.

I ran the configure script with these options:

./configure --enable-shared --enable-swscale --enable-gpl

The lastest version I d/l last night did not support --enable-shared. Did I use all the correct options?

zoneminder 1.24 is running but seems to have some strange quirks like not being able to view/play events, the montage view has all the same cameras and some others. Could this be due to ffmpeg?

Using centos 5.2.
