Hello everyone. My colleagues and I are quite impressed with ZM! So much nicer and affordable than pre-packaged solutions. But I'm having a problem with a PV-143 capture card I just received from bluecherry this week. I forgot to request a LiveCD ISO (next step on my list of things to try), so I installed CentOS from the excellent instructions here: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/CentOS
Everything seems to work...almost. Under V4L2 I can only capture a single channel. Under V4L1, I can capture multiple channels, but they end up screwy. Sync is a mess, I get half-screens of video, half-gibberish, etc. Probably a frame-format problem. I've tried hardwiring the bttv module to a couple things, but it just confused the card (and myself) even more.
Speaking of which, I'm using a 555 palette, NTSC-M, 320x240. Is NTSC-M correct, I don't see an option for plain-old NTSC. Also, how can I determine what video formats are supported by my card? "zmu -d /dev/video -q -v" gives me what I assume is 'best', but is this my only option?
If anyone has experience getting these cards (PV-143) to work, I'd really appreciate a helping hand. Thanks!!
ZM1.24.1 and PV-143, can only capture one channel at a time
