Zoneminder 1.24x not realy usable
I think the latest ZoneMinder is not realy usable yet. Version 1.24.1 has to many problems. Some guys claim they have everything set up fine and has put this stuff on DVD. But nothing is working as aspected. If you stay with 320x240 and no shared memory it looks like it is working. But, thats not true. Raise resolution to 640x480 or 720x480 and add shared memory and you can see what I mean. Monitoring your cameras will not work for long. The streaming stops between five and ten minutes. Version 1.23.3 did not have these problems and is working fine. I dont think this latest version is realy usable. I have done testing in fc3, fc6, fc7 and kubuntu (DVD zoneminder) and all have the above mentioned problems. I realy like to hear if somebody runs ZM-1.24.1, 720x480 with shared memory on without streaming problems.

Send me a PM with IP details to add such a camera. I'll raise the shared memory and run the resolution you ask. This way you'll know if it's something your not setting up right or if it really is a problem with Zoneminder. I'll lock down my online demo and only allow you access, this way you can report what you find.
I set up a test yesterday and watched montage for over an hour with no hiccups. That was using mjpg instead of jpeg on the options tab. I will admit it was 320x240, but when I have time I'll do the same test with 640x480 unless you PM me before that.
