I deleted and re-added a camera. Now motion doesn't work on it even with the default zone settings. Live view on it works fine but it isn't detecting motion at all.
What log file, debug level etc should I check to see if I can find out why it isn't working?
zma -m
and zmc -d /dev/videoxx both ran fine on that monitor according to zmdc.log
Ideas?
motion not working on 1 camera. How to troubleshoot?

Yes... it's the default one which works pretty well on the rest of them.Blazer wrote:Is there a zone defined for that monitor?
I've even tried deleting the default zone and re-adding it back with the exact same settings as the others but it still don't work. The last thing I tried was deleting the monitor completely and re-adding it but it still won't pickup motion. If you click the monitor's name the image looks perfect but no motion is being detected for some reason.

well... I just walked all through the zone again and it does work but is just nowhere near as sensitive as the others (even though they're the same camera). I guess I just need to make it more sensitive.
It's a camera mounted about 15ft up that actually covers 2 windows (one on each side of a 6ft privacy fence) so it shoots downward to cover both windows but if you just walk near the edge of the house to one window it doesn't get you. You have to walk at least 4-5 feet out away from the house before it picks you up even though right at the house is in clear view. I'm assuming a sensitivity problem or something. I'll play with settings tomorrow... I don't like playing with zones at night.
Thanks everyone for the help... I guess it does work, just not quite like the other 7 cameras like it do.
