I know these are white for a reason but I'd like a little more subtlety.
With north facing cameras under an overhang so there's no direct sun, is there any reason why an outdoor camera housing cannot be painted a darker color?
well from my experiences (las Vegas) Black tends to have more heat.
also on painting them a different color it probably a bad idea and wont last because most are ether plastic or powder coated and for good reason it dosen't fade away.
