Recover deleted event

running zm 1.23.3 on ubuntu server 8.10

By accident i deleted an event with a bad guy.
How can i recover the images from this event?

STOP ZONEMINDER

then browse to the event folder it may still be there.
the jpegs should all be there still as long as it hasent beeen too long(meaning before zmaudit runs)

Folder is gone. Any other tips to recover?

not relly because anything that could help you would take forever and you would be searching through 1000s of unnamed and unorganized jpegs
