Toshiba camera -IK-WB15A configuring problems with ZM 1.24.1

Post by lobo2714 »

I am new to ZoneMinder. I wanted to ask for your help. I was able to follow the installation process using Ubuntu 9.04 server with ZM version 1.24.1 http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... rver_32bit

I was able to successfully install and run the ZM on my apache server without a problem as per the instructions. I currently have a toshiba IK-WB15A Ip camera and I am trying to add it as a monitor device but I am having some problems doing so. There is no streaming coming through ZM. The camera is accessible via IP using its private GUI-HTTPS, but not to ZM. I know the camera is configured and running as we speak. here are my configurations

General Tab:
-Source Type=remote
-Function=Modect
-Enabled =checked
-Max FPS=15
-Reference Image Blend=7
Source Tab:
-Remote Protocol=Http
-Remote method =Simple
-Remote Host name:user:passwd@myipaddress
-Remote Host Port=80
-Remote Host Path=/admin/cgi-bin/getstream.cgi?3087&1234&cm9vdA&aWt3Yg&0&1&1&0&15000
In this part, i noticed that all my string does not appear once it is saved in this field. the last 3 zeros are not included... I think it has run out of room in this field it seems.--give it try!!!
-Capture Width =320
-Capture Height= 240
-Orientation =Normal

Any help or tips will be greatly appreciated

thank you in advance
:D

What does it say in your logs?
If you put that url in firefox, do you see only the image?

So I suspect what I have highlighted in green is likely the path you want, but before giving it a go, lets work on some other issues just in case your current path works.

Can't shmget error means you don't have enough shared memory configured for the monitor settings you have. You can either reduce the buffer space you have configured for your monitors, or see the FAQ about setting shared memory.

The items in orange are collateral from not having enough memory in this case, but basically mean that for some reason zmc failed to be able to put images in shared memory space. This can also occur f a monitor is not configured correctly.

Fix your buffer/memory, then go from there.

Toshiba camera -IK-WB15A configuring problems with ZM 1.24.1

Post by lobo2714 »

thanks for the tip. I followed your suggestions and I looked at FAQ regarding my memory message. It seems that most of the messages talked about adjusting the allocated memory in the configurations.

I was poking around the camera configurations and happen to see that max frames per second was 15 not 30. I changed it and everything seems to be running ok without the memory errors.. I was also able to see my image via ZM after rebooting the zm services..

thank you
