Delay Before Recording Events

Hello Is they any setting i can adjust on zoneminder to get delay down it seem to be people are out of the shot before it record they like 10 second delay

the system is run one camera on p4 2.80 with gig ram
run zoneminder on ubunto

camera are run in grey monitor also only 320 res

camera are pasonic they can 480 by 500 i think if need more if please let me know Any help wound be greatly appaitctede also shound be possable to run camera in color and corrected res on this box the card am run is gernic bt card 4 port drv winch my understand does 30 frame x 4 chanells?

on camera settings under buffers set a pre buffer

Okay Kingofkya I got default one set of Image Buffer Size 40 ?

do you suggest higher?

that should go up equal to the pre buffer so if you add 10 to pre then also add 10 to Image Buffer

Pre Event Image Count 10
Post Event Image Count 10
Stream Replay Image Buffer 1000
Alarm Frame Count 1

My cam res is = 760 x 480 ? will that cause delay am sure shound little no?

i only see imagine buffer size? or is title something diffent am look under camera setings page ?
