Genreate Video fails??

When I try and generate a video from an event I get a message "Video Generation Failed!" but there doesn't seem to be anything in the logs.

Where should I start looking to find out what is wrong??

There should be something in zmvideo.log, if you can find it (start by looking in /tmp unless you've defined it to be elsewhere), post what it says. There is an issue where some people don't seem to be able to generate low framerate video.

ahh, that was my problem.

I had no zmvideo.log

Once I created it and set the permissions I was able to create a video no problems.

It sounds like there is a permissions problem on your log directory itself. If ZM can't create logs in there you may find various things fail in mysterious ways.
