Newbie Question re: cheap outdoor cameras

Post by Hazuki »

Hello, this is my first post. I'm working for a small real-estate firm in manhattan, nyc, which was recently vandalized. The owner wants to buy two outdoor cameras to make sure this doesn't happen again (or at least get the perps' pictures).

I've been checking Bluecherry and was considering the Zavio F521E http://store.bluecherry.net/Zavio_F521E ... /f521e.htm but need to know: because it says IR, does that mean it can't do visual light too?

I know that's a dumb question but I just need to make sure. Would you recommend these? We just need to surveil 2 sides of the building to a distance of about 20-50 feet, so if you know something cheaper that would make the boss happy too.

Thank you! :)

Amazon has these Q-See cameras at a good price. Infrared and weatherproof with 60ft cables and basic mounts.

Ahh, missed that you are using IP. Good cameras though.
