We do not have a local shipping facility to the UK. It is something that we've looked at but haven't made much progress on due to VAT taxes and figuring out how to pay taxes on those sales and if there's enough interest to pay for the upfront costs.World705 wrote:Problem is i am from the UK. Is there a local supplier to me ?
Thanks
How about the ADLINK Angelo RTV, available in the UK here

available as PCI or PCIe. Some members use this one.

Well after seeing your post I took a look at their site and the close-up of the 8 port card looked like the 'bt878 8 chip input' shown on this page -> http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... d_hardware So, I dropped an e-mail to the company on Saturday afternoon and received a response half an hour saying they were in stock and could dispatch one Monday.
Long story short - I ordered a card and it arrived this morning via Special Delivery. I've plugged it into my replacement CCTV server (the previous server died through motherboard failure) and as I type this I'm successfully fiddling with a test camera. gentoo with the 2.6.29 kernel recognises 8 video ports as /dev/video0 through /dev/video7 and the options line "options bttv card=77,77,77,77,77,77,77,77" appears to be the correct one as per the wiki:

Yup, working quite nicely The various chips run quite hot (50degC and above) so I've added a large heatsink (an old Northbridge cooler) to the central chip and smaller heat sinks to each of the 8 BT878s (purchased from http://www.dealextreme.com).World705 wrote:So does that mean it worked lol ?
Do anybody knows about ZM with Angelo RTV-24?
