Logitch Orbit AF

Post by marrandy »

Hello.

I tried what looks like a Logitech Orbit Af (there is no data on it) on my notebook.

wxcam provides a good picture. The settings are YUYV, 640x512, /dev/video1 & video4linux2 (it doesn't work with video4linux1).
Its other frame formats are - YUV420P, YUV420, RGB24, RGB32

I inputted these into zoneminder but all I get is a Red source and a white video box with a red dot and Logitech on the top left.

xawtv doesn't work :-(

This is xawtv-3.95, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.26.8.tex3)
xinerama 0: 1920x1200+0+0
X Error of failed request: XF86DGANoDirectVideoMode
Major opcode of failed request: 138 (XFree86-DGA)
Minor opcode of failed request: 1 (XF86DGAGetVideoLL)
Serial number of failed request: 69
Current serial number in output stream: 69

The info from dmesg when I install it is...

usb 2-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3
usb 2-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
uvcvideo: Found UVC 1.00 device <unnamed> (046d:08cc)
uvcvideo: Using UVC_MAX_ISO_PACKETS=40
input: UVC Camera (046d:08cc) as /class/input/input9

Anyone have this working ?

As wxcam works with it, how much work would it take to fix. I'm thinking donation time :-)

ADD: I donated anyway.

Looks like 046d:08cc = Logitech QuickCam Orbit MP SPCA525 or
Logitech QuickCam Sphere MP SPCA525

I think I will try and find another computer and install the latest version. It might solve a lot of issues.
