application/octet-stream || port 8481?

Post by acrid »

a few days ago i allready posted my problem with the authentication of my ip-cam.
all my problems would be gone, if zoneminder could handle application/octet-stream. the camera opens a 2nd port for that type.

is that possbile somehow? or is this a feature request? :)

Hi,

Can you post some examples of the stream? If I can see what it does then I can see how easy it would be to fit in. If you can get images via wget can you do a wget -s -S '<your url>' > <log file> and post or mail me what you get.

I have a DCS-1000W which allows you to use port 8481 as a second port but it stills allows port 80 to be used.

hi tried wget - failed.
if i try to save the file from the browser, i get a small file, but nothin i could use :)
i found out that the port is used for activex with the "xplug" that comes with the camera.
this "connecTec" camera seems to pretty much the same as the DSC. i'm using video.cgi now.

for more have a look on my other post:
